True... So now you know why electronic spare parts are sometimes expensive. I'd be taken out to lunch by a guy in suit and think that I was getting a deal when I spent $150 - $200 for a meter. BTW it was a real break through when really, really good benchtop meters came down to $1000 from $3000 a few years ago.
I guess it is the same thing that I will try not to spend more than a few bucks for a hand tool around the house when there are wrenches and hammner, etc.. that go for big bucks each.
